Angela was born in Melbourne, Florida where she lived until the age of 14. Her family moved to Cookeville, Tennessee in the summer of 1987. She married Michael Scantland in March of 1994 and they reside in Cookeville. They have three children and a daughter-in-law; Austin, Noah and Isabella, and Mikaela. Angela made a profession of faith at a youth camp at a young age, but was saved at age 16 when she truly turned the control of her life over to Christ. Her family has been involved with Cedar Lake Camp since her oldest attended summer camp here at age 8. Michael is a member of the board of directors and Noah and Mikaela serve here as children’s camp staff. She was a stay-at-home mom for 15 years and then a bank teller for 5 years before feeling called of the Lord to join the staff here at Cedar Lake Camp as the Camp Administrator in late 2013. She has a heart for sharing the hope found in the gospel through Jesus Christ and for discipling others in that relationship.

He grew up in church and dedicated his life to Christ at a very young age. He first came to Cedar Lake Camp as a camper when he was thirteen. His time as a camper played a very large part in teaching him to love the Lord and he soon became as involved with Cedar Lake as he could. Parker has been a counselor at camp for four years as of 2019 and is now one of the first Gap Year students to ever participate in the program. Through the program, Parker hopes to further pursue his call to ministry and learn how he can best serve Jesus for the rest of his life.
